Canine Corner Refund Policy

We strive for your complete and utter satisfaction with our products. Our goal is to streamline and simplify the remedy procedure for your convenience. 

In the unlikely scenario that you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you may qualify for a refund or replacement. See the 'Refunds & Replacements' section below for our general policy. Refunds & Replacements (if applicable)

If 30 days have elapsed since order receipt, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund. An exception to this is if your product has not arrived within 60 days. You are eligible for a replacement provided a product fault or malfunction can be demonstrated, and less than 90 days have elapsed since order receipt.

We reserve the right to decline a replacement or refund where any product fault, malfunction, or issue is due to fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of conventional use, or gross negligence. Always retain your product and do not dispose of the item so that we can assess your claim. We cannot provide a remedy in cases where items have already been disposed of. 

If you are deemed eligible for a refund, you will be required to return the applicable items to our nominated returns address. 

If you are deemed eligible for a replacement, no return of applicable items is necessary, and upon completion of our request form and subsequent review of your submission to determine eligibility, your replacement will be issued. For more details see 'How To Submit a Faulty Product Claim' section below.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure safe delivery.

Returns of products that are not defective, faulty, or malfunctioning are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs.

We do not provide change-of-mind refunds. We do not provide refunds if the product was not used as per provided guidelines.

How To Submit a Faulty Product Claim:

Our claims process can be broken down into 2 stages, as follows:

Stage 1 - Troubleshooting

Contact us via our support email at support@caninecorner.shop and include your full name, order number, a brief description of your product issue, and attach your order confirmation email as proof of purchase. 

In some cases, troubleshooting steps may be able to rectify your product issue. These troubleshooting steps are provided in our request form which will be supplied to you by our support team. Failure to complete the prescribed troubleshooting steps may result in denial of refund or replacement requests. If these steps are unable to resolve your product issue, we will advance your claim to Stage 2 - Video Assessment.

Stage 2 - Video Assessment

Our support team will provide you with a link to our online form, which we require you to fill out with a short but detailed description of your product issue along with a short video demonstrating the product issue. This stage will progress as follows:

  • Our review team will assess your submission and determine whether your product is faulty
  • This assessment will be completed as soon as possible, but no longer than 7 business days
  • If your claim is deemed eligible and valid, we will contact our warehouse to issue your replacement product of the same model.
  • We will shortly thereafter contact you via email with your replacement's tracking number.
  • We reserve the right to decline your claim where any product fault is due to fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of conventional use, or gross negligence.

We are fully committed to providing a refund or replacement, so long as all troubleshooting steps have been exhausted.

Please note that replacement units issued under a claim are not subject to further replacement or refund unless deemed defective upon receipt.

Faulty Claims Exemptions

Subject to applicable consumer law rights, product claims based solely on the alleged poor performance of our bark control products will not be assessed under our Refund Policy unless supported by objective review of provided evidence by our expert team.

Our bark control products are designed to assist with behaviour modification using ultrasonic frequency. The effectiveness depends on several external factors, including the environment, dog breed, age, hearing sensitivity, training consistency, and reinforcement history.

Under Australian Consumer Law, goods must be fit for the general purpose they are marketed for. Barkbuddy is marketed as an training tool, and its function meets that description when used as intended. We do not promise or imply instant or universal results.

Though we have thoroughly tested our bark control products for efficacy, it's important to understand that product results may differ depending on what type of dog you are using the products with. Effectiveness can differ from one dog to another, and so some dogs may be unresponsive to the device due to their disposition, breed, hearing ability or temperament. Regular positive reinforcement training and comprehensive care are recommended in order to train your dog out of unhealthy behaviours.

Due to problems with serial refunding, we do not issue refunds for products that arrive in compliance with our Terms of Service, are undamaged, aren't defective, are functional, and are correct. We also do not offer change of mind refunds.

We appreciate your support and understanding in our efforts to combat serial refunding, as it has become a serious problem facing the e-commerce space.

30 Day Bark Free Guarantee – Terms of Redemption

We proudly offer a 30 Day Bark Free Guarantee to eligible customers who give Barkbuddy a fair and consistent trial, and find it to not be effective for their particular dog.

For this guarantee to be applicable, the following conditions must be met:

  • The customer must trial the device consistently for at least 14 consecutive days, following all usage instructions in provided material.

  • The device must be used in appropriate environmental conditions (e.g., indoors, unobstructed line of sight, within the effective range).

  • Customers must allow time for behavioural desensitisation, which may vary depending on the dog’s temperament and previous reinforcement patterns.

  • Refund requests will only be honoured after the trial period and upon providing a video clearly showing real-time product usage and the completion of a short troubleshooting questionnaire to verify correct and appropriate usage as well as lack of effectiveness.

  • If the issue relates to a fault or malfunction, a replacement unit will be issued first. Refunds for issues related to a fault or malfunction are only provided in the rare case where a replacement fails to resolve the fault or malfunction and all other support options have been exhausted.

  • It is not the case that external factors (e.g., ambient noise) are impeding product effectiveness.

Outcomes for individual dogs may vary. Our 30 Day Bark Free Guarantee exists to protect customers who commit to the training process, not to cover cases where Barkbuddy was used inconsistently, improperly, or for a limited trial.

To qualify for a return and refund under the 30 Day Bark Free Guarantee, in addition to the above conditions, the following conditions must be met:

  • Return Window: Request for remedy under our guarantee must be initiated within 30 days of order receipt.

  • Product Condition: Items must be returned in their original condition, including all components and packaging.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Unless the issue is deemed to be due to a fault or malfunction, returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

In the event that you are issued a refund, please allow 5-10 business days for the funds to be returned to your original payment method.

We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund request via the email you originally contacted us through.

If you haven't received your refund yet, or if one is pending, please run through this list first before contacting us:

  • First, check your bank account history.
  • Then, contact your card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  • Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  • If your original payment method was PayPal, please wait 3-5 business days for your refund to appear in your transaction history. If you cannot see your transaction history, we advise you to contact PayPal support.

Water Damage

Although some of our products are advertised as water-resistant or water-proof, they are not designed to be used in or near water. Devices that are advertised as water-resistant or waterproof, are made this way to mitigate faults that may occur if the device comes in contact with water. Water is capable of entering some of the devices if the cover has not been sealed correctly, or if the seal is moved during use. As there is no way to detect weather damage or loss due to water has occurred from improper use, any damage or loss arising from water damage will void this policy.

Australian customers - Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

New Zealand customers - This Returns Policy is in addition to the conditions and guarantees which are mandatory as implied by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).

Canine Corner reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without prior notice. Updates to the policy will be published on this page and take immediate effect unless otherwise stated. Any changes will not retroactively affect claims initiated before the date of policy revision.
